THE AIR MOTION TRANSFORMER PRINCIPLE
When the Avantgarde was first designed, it was based on a Signature model. The possibility of using an Air Motion Transformer in a totally new guise was no less than a revolution: One driver with a range from 2900 Hz to over 50.000 Hz!

A DREAM COME TRUE
This was a dream come true. Instead of using a supertweeter with all the phase problems this causes, Ole Klifoth and his team could go all the way with one single driver. However, new research into the speed of a new midrange driver and cross-over was necessary to obtain a seamless transition from midrange to tweeter.

A NEW MIDRANGE

A new midrange with an unfiltered response up to 10.000 Hz was designed. With Audiovector’s own Air Motion Transformer, the Avantgarde tweeter – totally no- compression and used in a 30% rear firing SEC configuration – the pair form a very fast, very transparent, electrostatic like (but much more dynamic ) reproduction, which makes the best of every kind of music you present it to.

The SR 3 Super, and the SR 3 Signature can be upgraded to SR 3 Avantgarde, and they can all be upgraded to SR 3 Avantgarde Arreté. More about Audiovector's unique IUC upgrade concept HERE

CARBON FIBER TERMINAL PLATE

On the Arreté models, the binding posts are mounted on a carbon fiber terminal plate, because carbon fiber eliminates interaction with the crossover components mounted behind it for direct connection. The result is a clearer sound.

SEC Soundstage Enhancement Concept

A technology, which makes it possible to improve dispersion, lower compression and create a huge soundstage in all three dimensions. This technology was developed by Audiovector to create a more natural and articulate performance.

A SOLID PLINTH WITH IMPROVED AIRFLOW

All R-series speakers use a tilted plinth. This way we avoid standing waves in the cabinets and this way we have improved the elegant looks of our speakers. We have put them on high heels, so to speak. The plinths have a built-in steel spring holding the spikes in order to rid the speakers from the mass of the floor. The result is a more articulate and correct sound

AUDIOVECTOR CARBON DRIVERS

By using a new high-tech membrane consisting of cross woven carbon fibers sandwiched with artificial wood resin, the new membranes are the foundation of more dynamic, more detailed sound from the new R-series titanium voice coil drive units.
