THE R-SERIES ARRETÉ AMT TWEETER

The best we have ever made. Now sporting an Integrator Acoustic Lens, which improves dispersion, impulse response and integration with the midrange driver. In combination with our SEC treble concept, It assists to deliver a wider, deeper, higher and more natural soundstage loaded with details.

CARBON FIBER TERMINAL PLATE

On the Arreté models, the binding posts are mounted on a carbon fiber terminal plate, because carbon fiber eliminates interaction with the crossover components mounted behind it for direct connection. The result is a clearer sound.

AUDIOVECTOR CARBON DRIVERS

By using a new high-tech membrane consisting of cross woven carbon fibers sandwiched with artificial wood resin, the new membranes are the foundation of more dynamic, more detailed sound from the new R-series titanium voice coil drive units.

SEC Soundstage Enhancement Concept

A technology, which makes it possible to improve dispersion, lower compression and create a huge soundstage in all three dimensions. This technology was developed by Audiovector to create a more natural and articulate performance.

FREEDOM GROUNDING®

This proprietary Audiovector technology eliminates motional feedback distortion in the baskets of the drive units and allows for more detail, more accuracy. In short: A more authentic musical experience. A dedicated separate crossover tailors the feedback signals to perfection and route them to the ground pin in the wall or the mains distributor.

A SOLID PLINTH WITH IMPROVED AIRFLOW

All R-series speakers use a tilted plinth. This way we avoid standing waves in the cabinets and this way we have improved the elegant looks of our speakers. We have put them on high heels, so to speak. The plinths have a built-in steel spring holding the spikes in order to rid the speakers from the mass of the floor. The result is a more articulate and correct sound

NO STANDING WAVES

The uniquely crafted R cabinets with their drop-like shape avoid distortion from standing waves. They are made from hardwood HDF, laminated with acoustical glue. In pairs, the cabinets are presented in carefully matched wood veneers. To keep the reproduction fast and dynamic, we use in-house developed Nanopore damping material: A perfect recipe for natural sound.

DESIGNED BY AUDIOVECTOR, BUILT BY SCAN-SPEAK

Audiovector drivers are designed in-house and hand built by Scan-Speak in Denmark. Our drivers use distortion free titanium voice coils, carbon sandwich membranes, magnesium/aluminum chassis and strong high-end magnets: Ingredients that provide the advantages of our bass and midrange drivers.

INNOVATIVE MEMBRANES

The membranes are made of a sandwiche of carbon, glass fibers and Nomex. They are light, stiff and extremely well dampened for fast and uncolored sound. A special, patented copper cap further reduces distortion.

DYNAMIC FEED FORWARD FILTERS

Since 1979 we have only used carefully selected low-resistance, high-precision coils and capacitors in our advanced cross-over circuits. Highly efficient and easy to drive, our speakers are the perfect match for both solid state and tube amplifiers.

NCS CRYOGENIC TREATMENT

In our Arreté models, the “seven-nines” copper is subjected to a special cryogenic deep-freeze treatment, which realigns the molecules of internal wiring, cross-overs, tweeter membranes and terminals. Thanks to reduced resistance and distortion, the result is breathtaking clarity and effortless musical flow.
